    Looking to buy a 2020+ 1000sx

Hi all, hopefully I'll become a bone fide member/owner soon.  I'm looking for a 2020-2022 1000sx with panniers.

Quick question, how easy is it to find used panniers sold separately without the bike?  I've seen one bike I like but it's missing panniers and they cost 750 new!

    Cheers Paul

    welcome along

they do come up for sale on Ebay or Facebook/forums regularly and they're used on a few of the bikes in Kawasaki's line (Versys/H2/Ninja 1000sx) so worth searching for those on Ebay as well.

the other good thing is you can change the coloured inserts easily enough depending on what colour bike you're looking at.

as an example, green set on Ebay currently:

but if your bike has silver accents, set of silver inserts

Thanks for replying.  Can the locks be changed on used panniers to match the bike's ignition key (not essential but nice).

yes they have a 1 key system which you can buy direct from Kawasaki and then its just a case of setting up the locks to suit your ignition key

    Watch this:

Before buying the lock sets, see if you can rearrange the existing plates to match. You can leave out one or more with reduced security.

I was lucky enough to have the correct five when I bought a used K top box.
