Quad Lock - Z1000SX 2018

Hi All, newbie here.

I've just purchased a Z1000SX on a 2018 and was wondering whether any modifications are needed to install my old quadlock I had on my SV. I can see there is a small hole running down the center nut, but I'm not sure if it is too small to fit the quadlock barrel?

Any help very much appreciated. I had to take off the nut on my SV and grind the top off it so I could install it, I'm hoping this isn't the case for the Z.

ive got an M8 stud running down the centre of mine as part of a diy sat nav mount.
im sure an M10 would just fit but cant remember now but the hole is definitely larger than 8mm
 sorry for the vagueness.

I’ve just purchased a new mount from eBay from evotech performance: it mounts using two bolts just under the stem mount.

I already have a handle bar mount and a wing mirror mount but I thought this looked like a decent solution. Behind the screen and in front of me.
