torque bar?
« on: October 15, 2017, 12:01:35 PM »
should this have any play in it I am guessing it needs to bve able to rotate sslightly on its bolts when the spring compresses, noticed whilst cleaning bike and not sure if its alweays been like this, there are split pins in the bolts which makes me think that it doesnt need to be solid, seee pic

The specified torque for the torque link nuts is 34nM, not massively tight, but I wouldn't have thought it had to allow rotation as both ends are geometrically fixed to the swinging arm. Just had mine off as it had gone badly rusty at the welds, and repainted it.
