Anyone recommend any protective short summer boots for riding with kevlar jeans please? Must be available in Yeti sizes!  :001:

Hi Billy

I have to concur with most on here. The TCX short boots are brilliant bang for buck, well built and comfirtable as hell  :028:

I had the X-Square and for the life of me have no idea why I sold them, they were like a paddock boot and gave great 'foot' feedback. I still use my shorty X-Street which a little bit tougher but still offer great feedback!

If you're certain you want a shorty then you canny go wrong.

Brilliant, thanks all!  :031:

My main boots are Alpinestars SMX-5s which are great, but probably a bit big to go under jeans for summer riding, hence I'm looking for shorter boots.

Funnily enough I tried on a pair of SMX-1 Rs yesterday but they were loose at the ankle - I wouldn't have any confidence in them staying on in a slide. So maybe lace up boots with a velcro strap are the way to go? I'll certainly give the TCX boots a look, so long as they're not too narrow.

Bill I have SMX 6 and Daytona Roadstars and they both fit under jeans (Furygan 01's and Hood), if that's helps

I think that you will find that most sports boots will fit under Kevlar jeans. My TCX and Gaerne boots both fit under my Bikers Gear and Hood jeans.

Other than protection, the other advantage of normal length boots is that the jeans do not flap about as they fit over the boot.

On the other hand, if you are just wanting a bit more walking comfort or less heat, then the shorter boots are possibly the way to go.
