Barkbusters hand guards

Anyone fitted these to their bike either the Storm or Carbon? Details of fittings etc appreciated.

Yep I did that originally but only found threads related to 2013 so wasn't sure how that equated to 2016 model. Also when you say bolt on do you mean to the main handle bar or bar ends. Cheers mate :112:

Just bar ends Steve, the bolt is a bitch to get out though, so use a good quality screwdriver, but then it's simply bolt on the guards!

yea the bar end screws are fitted with loctite!

I can confirm the bar end bolts are a real struggle to remove, i went through every cross head driver I own. Eventually the damage to the bolt was that bad I had to drill it out and then replace with bolts with allen key heads (and loctite).

There are ways of easing the loctites grubby grip I've read but As usual can't remember what they are! Any tips welcomed?

Heat on the bolt helps, apparently.
2017 Z1000SX, in black.  Roughly 70000 miles and 8 years on SXs.
