Bettlejuice, after fitting Top Box can you still use side paniers?

Fitted a set of slip ons over the weekend.

They look sweet, but not much difference in sound having the cat still in.

Last night I finished fitting a Battery Tender weatherproof USB point under the LHS part of the dash/fairing and a dual USB outlet/voltage meter where the power socket accessory goes, both wired in to the accessory connector at the front of the bike and on their own fuses (so one blowing doesn't affect the other - in theory). Jon Long's video is superb for showing how to do this.

As my bike is tourer spec, my plan is to next buy a weatherproof case for my phone to fit the supplied mount and run a cable from the waterproof USB point under the dash to it for day-to-day then use the dual-outlet for when I eventually get a GoPro or similar.

The price of the Kwak accessory seems really high. I got everything I needed for less, including both USB points, wire, fuses, Anker cable, crimps, crimping tool, heat-shrink tubing, everything!

Fitted a Bridgestone BT-016 Pro 190/55 to the rear, I can't say it makes a huge difference to the handling except it is more nimble at lower speeds - no stability issues at high speed.  Looks nice and chunky.

Treated myself to Tom Tom Rider 550 with Ram fork stem mount. Everything works fantastic, was apprehensive getting it as it cost so much but planning to do more touring this year. First ride this morning and it all works amazing, very pleased

Finally washed the SX on Saturday, between rain showers. Only a week after our European trip  :164:
The bugs get in the strangest of places....

Due to the rain showers I finished drying it off in the garage but didn't dry the chain.
Planned to clean the chain yesterday anyway but was disappointed to find so much surface rust on it after less than 24 hrs  :005: This never used to happen with the aftermarket chains on my other bikes  :027:

All clean and lubed now regardless :018:

Converted my green 2017 to a black bike with oem 2018/19 parts, always wanted the black version but it was sold out everywhere when i got my bike.
I also installed adjustable clipons from over racing jpn http://www.over.co.jp/products/55-84-11B/
They're a little lower than the oem part at their lowest setting wich makes you catch a tad less wind. Not a huge difference but you do feel it, excellent quality in billet alu with detachable spacers included to set your prefered height.

Weather's shit today so here's 2 quick pics from the garage:
