Great post, looks like my next purchase will be the R&Gs and your post will help no end in the fitting.
Thanks

My invoice shows £165+VAT at a Kawasaki dealer 2 years ago for the crash protectors. They're £166.66+VAT on R&G's site now.

I hate fairings!
Used your guide, no real problems apart from not reconnecting the indicator and having to take it to bits again

I couldn't get the front hook out so ended up just working behind the fairing. My mount bolts were also not real tight, so R&G said 40 nm torque, I set the wrench to 35 nm. That felt tighter than hell to me, so I left it at that.
This thread was a great help to me finding the fasteners to remove the fairing.

Just an addition.
I ended up taking both fairings off as I needed to do some other stuff under there. Easy with this guide.
The R&G frame sliders are by far the biggest beefiest set you're going to find for this bike.

Andy,
The effort you have put in to this post is applauded,
post's like this save people like me (who couldn't get the fairing off)
loads of agro.
This is what a forum is all about, Thanks.
