Hey, I need to get my fairing off to fit some bungs and wire the satnav to the rear of the bike, but the pictures in this thread seem to be dead.

Anyone got copies anywhere?

Hi guys,

The pictures are dead because my ISP decided, in its infinite wisdom, that not enough people were using the web space they provided, and they simply discontinued the hosting service. You can probably guess what discount and compensation they gave to customers affected by that decision.

I have a backup, so when I get chance I'll upload them to somewhere else and edit the guide accordingly. In the meantime, feel free to PM me your email address and I'll send them over.

Looks like the forum has no 'edit' button, which is a pretty heinous omission IMHO, and which means I can't now fix the photos in my original post. So here they are - at least, until this host decides to lose them.

Hi, I am new here. I have just fitted these bungs following Andy's instructions, which are very helpful.  I have run into some difficulty refitting the exhaust cover to the lower side of the right hand fairing though. The rear end bolts to the exhaust which makes for a secure fitting but the middle and front end of the cover rely on metal plates with splayed ends which fit through rubber grommets, one through a bracket and one through the fairing. The problem is that I cannot seem to make them protrude through much further than the surface of the grommets and so I can seem them letting go at high speed with the front end of the cover dropping onto the road. Anybody else experienced this or am I doing something wrong?

They are bit of pain in the a**e to get through the rubber grommets. I use plenty of washing up liquid on them which helps ease them through. Push the front one through first and once it is well in push the other through making sure you don't pull the front one out, followed by the bolt.

Many thanks, didn't think about washing up liquid, that's a good idea!
