Sudden jolt front suspension
on: 10 May 22, 10:54:18
So unhappy with the front suspension in the bike. Set up static and rider sag and keep dialing back compression to get rid of this horrible jolt at low or high speed when going over small bumps.
I read in one thread about a hydraulic bump stop but can’t find any more info on it.
Mate rode it and said there is something wrong somewhere.
Any one any ideas or info ?
Had the bike 8 weeks and set up suspension according book and adjusted from there and can’t get rid of this horrible jolt. M
2013 sx.  I’m 100kgs with gear. 28k in the clock.
Any info welcome or can be pointed  in another direction

Check steering head bearings for play.

A friend with a similar aged SX had the same symptoms. Dealer diagnosed: bearings insufficiently greased from factory. A re-grease and tighten cured it.

As a 2013 model I would have the oil changed and the spring length checked for tolerance. If the oil has never been changed it will be pants.

Thanks. I’ll do the oil and springs and check what weight they are for and do the head bearings too. Will let you know the results when done. Cheers.
