No idea fella, the guy who MOTed both my bikes is well familiar with them as hes been servicing them and doing the MOT for years... he just said that the latest check list details that the LED headlights because of what they do to the beam pattern are now illegal, ive got em both through now by switching them out, then switching back again, just a real pain in the arse!! its a grey area and dare say they have to play safe as its their name on the test cert.. brighter and more visible on a bike seems like a great idea to me, like the flashing LED indicator brake lights i have, but he told me they were a fail too so ive put a switch in now to turn that feature off at MOT time, then back on again after!!!
Tbh i would imagine this is going to be one of those ones that varies greatly depending on your MOT Tester, like loud exhuasts etc as its not anything dangerous
I know my guy wouldn't fail me for it, he will look me in the eye and say "you put them in when you got home didn't you" 😉😅
That's the biggest flaw with the MOT system, it's only really valid for as long as your at the testing station haha
