i am going to replace for Brembo
this part number Product code: 07SU27.SA is for road use
https://moto.brembo.com/en/detail/07SU27/kawasaki/ninja-sx/1000/2020/pads/front/SA/0
this part number Product code: 07SU27.SR is for race use
https://moto.brembo.com/en/detail/07SU27/kawasaki/ninja-sx/1000/2020/pads/front/SR/0
there is some price difference but negligible.
i am using the bike 50% for commuting ( fast) and 50% for canyon very fast rides
what would you choose?

The extra bite you will get will not outway the linear performance and longevity the SAs will give you IMO

Interesting post.
I’ve found the brakes on my 2020 Ninja1000SX a little lacking, just hasn’t got the initial bite I was used to with my Speedtriple.
Perhaps a change of pad to something like these might help….

Doesn't the speed triple have steel braided hoses as standard? I think it's a larger master cylinder as well. It's certainly more of a sports bike set than on the SX.

I can't comment re the speedtriples brakes, but cannot imagine wanting more braking on the Ninja SX. I've had to do a couple of full on emergeny stops where the rear wheel has left the ground, all the while retaining confidence in the front and without the ABS kicking in.
I do understand there will be differences in feel to the braking with different pads and that is great as it gives us choice.

It is not about lack of stopping power or even feel, i had 2016 model and at first pads change switched to brembo, the difference was mainly when had to brake repeatedly and hard, while entering corners on a long very fast twisty down hill. I agree that for 95% the stock pads are 100% fine and for the last 5% they are 95% fine, just want 100% all the time.

Yeah agree not comparing apples with apples as the Speedtriple is a more sporty bike. It has Brembo M4.32 callipers and steel braided hoses and is quite a bit lighter too, so braking isn’t going to quite the same.
The Ninja’s setup seems fine but is probably the most noticeable dynamic difference to me when riding. I wouldn’t say I ride the bike hard enough for it to be an issue, it just a feel thing. If changing the pads and maybe the lines would address some of the difference, then I’d be a (slightly) happier boy 😁

I have Brembo SA pads on my 2017 sx and have been using them for years. I like them obviously. I changed the lines on my previous SX for braided hoses and it made a noticeable difference IMHO. I will be changing for braided hoses on this one in the not too distant future.
