KCMF help req
on: 10 Oct 21, 05:44:10
Hi, took my 2020 Z1000 out today, and about 60miles in the KCMF orange warning light came up on the dash, tried the obvious turn off and on again.

Any ideas greatly received before a trip to dealership

leave it 10 mins or the morning then switch it back on if it hasn't cleared then visit dealer

i recently was paddling around in a junction slipped on gravel which made me change gear in a kack handed way

the bike threw a hissy fit and the dash lit up, quick shifter stopped working, red lights, orange lights, warnings scrolling though the dash etc and i was 250 miles from home

sat in car park switching it on off in quick succession, nothing

anyway apart from the dash being like the proverbial Christmas tree and no quickshifter, abs or, cruise it still worked but manual shift so i set off for home

went for a piss and a brew on the way home came back 10 min later, cleared itself worked fine ever since, had two services no issues noted

Sounds like lewaving it that bit longer has re-set whatever was causing the issue.

I'd still let your dealer know for the record, just in case.
