Hi

Can anyone recommend an accurate and reliable tyre pump?

I have three and all are giving difference results for example:

Michelin digital foot pump says 40psi

Halfords foot pump says 36psi

Bicycle pump says 35 psi

Quite a difference in my opinion,

What are other peoples experiences?

Cheers in advance

I've got these

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232909214561

https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/6026547236?iid=402251444217

they both read the same.
All my tools are the same make as the inflator so the batteries all fit.

i just use a venhill pressure gauge

over pump the tyres using any pump then just let the air out to the pressure required

I too, as an ex tyre fitter, would also rate the Venhill gauge. It is VERY accurate.
Because it has a lower, more specified range, and well within the range needed for our bikes, that makes it possible to be precise.

Also, i agree with the previous post, to pump the tyre a few pounds above what is required, and then release the pressure to the desired level. That is how it has been on performance cars for a LONG time!!

I've one of these, but they only seem to currently be available in the USA

It agrees with my Michelin TPMS.
