on: 24 Jun 21, 07:33:39
Heyup, does anyone know if rear wheel bearings on 2018 are same as 2025/2016 models?
It would also be handy if anyone knows bearing /seal numbers. Thanks in advance Tommy Tickle

whyhaveone was offering you advice on where to look it up (for yourself!)

You won't get the numbers & sizes without contacting Kwak direct and I doubt VERY much whether they would know, or tell you if they did  :006:

You can also look here for the part numbers:  https://www.kawasakioriginalparts.com/road-bikes.html

Just select bike model, then year and repeat for the years you mention and compare - it's not rocket science  :038:

Well, that's a good way to annoy someone (it's not rocket science) numbers for bearings and sizes could have been given by someone who does their own mechanic work as I've found on aprilia site for instance.
Believe it or not ,I know how phones and that internet thingy worst works,at the end of the day I asked a valid question and you gave a pointless reply or 3 .perhaps you should spend more time in parliament where no one is able to answer a simple question either .You have brought this retort on yourself by putting "rocket science" perhaps you are a bmw gs forummember ? I won't be asking anymore silly stupid brain dead questions that a benighted soul would ask (Google benighted it's ok) Anyway I'm going to be fitting my bearings/seals tomorrow ,I've worked on my 30 plus bikes over the years and I think I will manage.Keep safe

The easiest and surest way is to remove the bearings first and just take them to your nearest bearing supplier. I would hazard a guess that every big town has one.

When I removed my bearings, front and rear, because I was powder coating my wheels, I wanted to fit new ones as although the removed bearings felt perfect, they might have sustained undetectable damage.
Because they are so cheap, it wasn't worth the risk.

Mine were from a 2020 Ninja 1000 but I would bet they are the same throughout the range.

For what it's worth
Rear bearings  6304 LU ( New bearing package marked 6304-2RSR C3)
Front bearings 6004 DUA2 ( New bearing package marked 6004-2RSR C3)

Both bearings are as common as muck and cheap. I paid just over £20 for the 4 but choose FAG for their quality.
I could have ordered them from the internet for less but bought them over the counter from my local bearing supplier.

Tommy, you obviously get the whole smiley concept, as I see you use them when it suits  :006:

I'm glad you got an answer you preferred, but you should note a wink smiley, often indicates a no offence intention for allot of people.

Your response however is impossible to misconstrue = intentionally rude!

Not bad for your 5th post  :047:
