Decat and remap 2020 model
on: 22 Feb 21, 03:34:56
Hi and thanks for letting me join the forum.
I'm just about to have the second service on my 2020 model ninja1000sx performance tourer and at the same time
decatting, I am also considering remapping as I read somewhere that there is a lot to be gained in power/performance
etc by doing this, on my last bike GSXS1000 I gained 15bhp got rid of the snatchy throttle and it really transformed the bike
so am hoping it makes this fantastic bike even better, so my question is have any of you de-catted and re-mapped and if so
what did you gain, hoping to use RJS superbike at Mallory park again as he was great with the last bike, looking forward
to seeing your replies cheers Rich

Quick update on the de-cat and re-map, the 2020 model is now Euro5 compliant and as such has been made so at the moment
you cannot get into the ECU to re-map or put a fuel bypass or anything on them but I have been told the Australians and other
places are working on it. I did de-cat and now at the back wheel on the Dyno I have 136.1 bhp, in the brochure it said 143bhp
but that would be at the engine so probably gained a couple of BHP and the fuelling is ok a bit rich in places but nothing to be
concerned about it sounds awesome and not too loud.

I joined the forum and introduced myself a few moments ago. I own a 2020 1000 SX. I live in Phoenix AZ, USA.  My bike has the Akra exhaust installed and I would like to delete the Cat and install the headers. I won’t do that unless I can remap the ECU or piggyback. There are no solutions in the US. Please let me know if something becomes available in the UK or from Australia. Thank you.
