I've always used this including the genuine filter. It's a 2011 with 33K and has been fault free from an engine perspective and doesn't burn a drop.

Don't be put off by the year, the engine is essentially the same unit throughout the year ranges.

Just make sure it meets the requirements in the handbook, e.g. the API and JASO type. Also make sure that you get it from e reputable seller in order that it is original!

I use Castrol Power1 4T 10W-40.
Kawasaki: 1975 250-S1C; 1977 Z650-B1; 1980 Z1000 MKII A3; 2011 ER6n; 2013 Z1000SX ABS; 2016 Z1000SX ABS Tourer, 2020 Ninja 1000SX Performance Tourer.
