Did you get the lights sorted out. One of the reasons that swung me to buy another sx was the great lights on the 17 model. Every bit as good as the lights on many cars. Best lights on a motorbike that i have ever owned in almost 40 years.

Have pretty much the same experience as you with the later headlights, 2019 in my case.

The bike was taken back to kawasaki who said they were adjusted properly,

I can only assume they are aimed too low (forwhatever reason when I am actually on it)

As I have not ridden the bike in the dark much (as I have another bike for those trips now), I havent done anything about it, but the solution will be to raise the adjustment of the lights until you are happy (and not getting flashed by oncoming cars)

The lights must be too low (imo) for normal riding as on high beam they dont lack brightness only distance on low beam.

Sometimes LEDs can be worse than traditional lights as they have a sharp edge of projected light and the distance of illumination is governed by regulation.

Some before and after pics if possible would be good to see, low and high beam.

Sorted lights what I done was put the bike 10m from some bins and marked the light level on them - to start with it didn’t even light the bottom of the bin ,now I have it just over 1 meter up the bin and it’s a lot better
