Hi guys, going to attempt to change my chain and sprockets but have heard the nut on the front is a bitch to undo... do any of you know what size socket i'll need and any advise on how to attempt this challenge??  :828:

Not sure on socket size but will advise you need either an impact gun or a wrench with 6ft extention bar for leverage and the mentality of 5 angry gorilla's

27mm...advise the impact wrench as well as heavy human, or gorilla, sitting on the seat with the rear brake pressed on as well as first gear...and unfold the security washer first

I have a Clarke electric impact driver that is perfect for the nut removal.  I am happy for anyone locally to Rochester, Kent to borrow it. 
2017 Z1000SX, in black.  Roughly 70000 miles and 8 years on SXs.

OMG!! how tight.... ive had the wife sit on the bike,1st gear engaged, all brakes fully pressed on.. extension tube fitted to break bar and it Still won't budge.....  :005:

740 ft/lbs electric impact driver is definitely the answer

Thats how I undoo mine you may need a bigger wife, It will go just make sure youve a good fitting socket, I bought a 3 foot break bar just for doing this job. You wont brake it...

Getting on my nerves now...
 3 days ive been trying to get this reckon nut off..
 Why the hell is this soo tight????....
 would it be safe to shove a block of wood through the wheel spoke to jam the chain??
