They are really, normal ones are only good in warmer weather. On a day like today, mesh jacket, kevlar jeans and summer leather gloves are the only kit I would want to be in  :031:
2016 Z1000SX ABS. Custom tail tidy/seat/bar ends/levers/gear indicator/heated grips & screen. Lextek exhausts on order.

I've worn my Hood jeans in temps from 9C to 38C. At the extremes they were cold/hot!  :008:  However, you could wear them with long thermals if too cold.

Re keeping out the wind they are very good.

2nd that. I have some riding jeans and will still wear them on dry winter days with baselayers.

As an alternative there’s a company that makes a kinda Kevlar long johns with specific knee and hip armour. You can wear whatever you like then. Just another option.

There are other brands out there too

most of the jeans i have looked at are a rather slim leg, that is fine if they are like the frank thomas and have some stretch in them ... i did buy a pair of these dark knight jeans from e bay , for the price they are a good quality jean , but i sold them on as the leg length and the waist size was too big for me , i am a 38 waist but the 38 is more like a 40 far too big for me , suppose if i had came down a size may have been alright for me , they are not the slim fit ,

i was surprise myself for the price the stitching and linings are very good quality,  by the site they retail at £119, i have seen less quality jeans for more than this , all the feedback from the other buyers is all good , i might just order a pair of 36 inch and see what the fit is like , i can easily put them back on ebay and sell them on like the last pair i bought .   there are two different styles one is a narrower leg ,
