Problem fitting new clutch lever
on: 09 Jul 20, 05:44:42
Ok, bloody dropped bike in garage, and broke clutch lever, bought new one from Cradley.
Fitted it today, but when I was putting it back together a spring dropped out, and I can not for the life of me see where it goes.
Any help much appreciated.

There must be a spring near the span adjuster on the lever as there is some spring resistance when you move the lever to adjust the span.

Just what I was going to suggest.

I would think that it fits over the spigot on part 27010 and between the lever. Don't blame me if that is wrong!  :001:

I think that just holds the lever out against the stop to take up the slack in the clutch cable and stop the lever rattling about.

Yup, but where does it fit, so many people here have put shorties on but none replied here.

Guessing that this spring returns the lever to its rest position after pushing it away from the bar for span adjustment. So I suspect it goes behind the top square shaped flange on the lever?

Sorted now, found a little recess just under where you set clutch.

Cheers all.
