She’s here... my new [2017] Z1000SX
on: 22 May 20, 05:04:10
Hi All,

Thanks for the top advice so far. Colchester Kwak have delivered my Z1000SX.

Initial thoughts - OH MY F***ING GUUUHHHHH..... Coming from a bandit 1250 to 140BHP is quite some jump. It feels settled, the acceleration is smooth but ridiculously quick. The gear change is so smooth and the brakes are sharp. Feels like I’ve gone from riding a ford escort to riding a Ferrari!

Any ideas if there’s any storage room under the seat? If so, how do I access it?

No regrets so far!!!!

Too excited to read the manual?!  :745:

Some storage. Seat lock perfectly placed to get covered in crud above the rear wheel in the undertray slightly to the left.

Congrats, enjoy and RTFM (if it came with one, if not I have a .pdf and it's probably online somewhere).

Brilliant mate , really pleased for you and have a super weekend . I went on one Monday but turns out it has a issue or two (see the other post) , I have a bandit 1200 and can't wait to swap over .

You won’t regret it! Saw your post re: first gear. I’ve had that issue once on mine, but as soon as I let the clutch out slightly it found it.

There’s a little room, but not much, lock is situated on the left hand side of the undertray
Once you've had black, you'll never look back

Now to add a few items. R&G boot guards are great to protect to black paint, rad guard, USB socket (cheap off ebay), better screen?

Have a great weekend.
