Metzeler Roadtec 01 HWM or not
on: 14 Mar 20, 09:48:38
As the title says really. I have seen that there are 2 versions of the Roadtec 01. Googled both and while the HWM version is meant to be for a heavier bike, it’s hard to find anywhere which states whether or not the Z1000 is or isn’t in their opinion. I ride a mixture of one and two up and occasionally tour two up with panniers. Anyone have the HWMs on their Z? Cheers.

You do not need the heavy duty one, that's for MC's like the GTR1400

There was a similar question on the ZZR1400 forum recently and the concensus was that owners didn't consider them necessary for the big Z even when two up loaded touring, so hardly a worthwhile consideration for the Z1000SX.
