farewell Z1000SX, its been fun
on: 06 Dec 19, 05:25:10
Well I have been thinking about it for a while but last weekend took the plunge and my 2017 SX {fast black  :007:} was put up as a part ex on my new bike which i pick up tomorrow lunchtime.
I'll be sad to see it go as I have had some of the best rides ever on board this bike including 2 trips to Spain / Portugal, several to the Isle of Man plus a whole load of just generally having a good time.
There will be a few bits to sell if any one is interested, i'll post them ASAP, {Pazzo levers-folding version; kawasaki's engine crash protecters and paddock stand bobbins, a biketek paddock stand etc}

any way thanks for all the help and info various people have given , it has and is very much appreciated. cheers one and all, :820: safe riding.
Mark

I might be interested in the Pazzo levers, are they genuine Pazzo etc?  What bike did you opt for to replace the SX?

I have gone for the Superduke GT {Black  :002:}, brand new, picked it up this afternoon, feels strange on a V twin but really enjoyed the 80 odd mile ride today.

Would be interested in engine covers, let me know what you looking for.

I looked at the SuperDuke GT at bike show felt very nice to sit on, not sure what it was about the bike but I really liked it.

They bit pricey at just under 16k

Hi Mark

Any initial thoughts on the SX vs SuperDuke? I've had similar wonderings...

Cheers

After becoming an expert in removing the fairing & dropping the tail  :001:,Sadly I will be saying bye bye to my 2019 Z1000SX performance tourer next year. Like splash,I have also had a brilliant year on it,having toured the Atlantic coast in Ireland & other uk locations covering 7.5k miles in 9months.I was thinking of going for the ninjaSX next year but decided to go for the final edition 2020 ZZR1400. So my garage for next year will be my 2016 Z800abs & 2020 ZZR14000 PS. Once again like to thank one & all for your expert advise & support. All the best. Raj

I quite fancy to try the ZZR1400 too, so post some pics when you get the final one...

Shame they didnt go for some more varied colour patterns for the final year...

Wonder if they will replace it?
