My trusty dealer won't be doing many services in the short term........most of the damage was to the workshops.

Wow, makes me wonder if it's insurance or not.  My local dealer Cornwall Kawasaki is for sale - maybe burning it down would be more financially viable?  (joke)

'Fortunately' fire was contained in the workshops...I don't think any stock was damaged.    Owner having a shitty year ( head on with a yoof on the wrong side of the road put him and his wife in hospital ! ) plus a ram raid last year....owner deserves a medal if he doesn't retire !

Maybe the dealers need to decrease the price of their servicing to attract more customers  :164:

Bazacasa, are you going to fit a top box or have you already fitted it? The reason i ask is I want to do the opposite- take my Givi Rack and top box off, and put the grab rails back on,BUT i've bought some secondhand grab rails (to fit panniers later) but I dont have the bolts, and trying to fathom out an online parts diagram to see what I need, so if you are taking your rails off, any chance of posting a pic or pics of what holds the grab rails on?
Cheers
Blackie.

I test rode the 2020 Ninja today, apparently I was probably only 2nd person in the country to do so :002:
I turned up at Bournemouth Kawasaki just at the right time to have a look and got to take it out for an hour on trade plates.
I can only compare to my 2015 cos I haven't ridden models in between, but can report as follows.
Engine seems smoother than mine and controls feel lighter, seat is as comfy for my 12 stone as my Sargent is. TFT dash is superb as is the QS. Exhaust is ugly but actually sounds great at higher revs, other than that, a stunning looking bike.
I am tempted but my bike (mint 10,000 miles tourer) plus £6.5k is tough to justify, add another grand for sport package and it becomes even tougher.

I went to my local dealer in Ruislip today, which is where i purchased my Z100SX last year. Mine is 2019 plate, but 2018 model. Has just done 1500 miles.
dealer offered me £7000 for mine as part exchange. He stated that if the Panniers from my bike fit on the new one, i could keep them and use them on the new bike.
So in total i would be paying an extra £4,100 for the new one (black and silver model).
Is It Worth It??

NO.

but to quantify:  is cruise control, TFT, a new seat and a quick shifter worth £4100?  It's barely worth the extra £1000 Kawasaki have added to the RRP over the 2019 model, let alone £4100!!

According to the above video, the upgrades are only worth $200!

You should be able to get nearer 8k for yours in PX if you really wanted to go for it...

If you can afford then sometimes it is best just to do what you want  :002:
