Power valve
« on: May 24, 2019, 12:35:56 AM »
I've cans with a power valve fitted but does not have the cables and actuator unit.
2015 1000sx
Questions are....
Are these worth having on the bike?
How much and where can I get one and or does anyone have one for sale on here?

Thanks all.

Andy.

Andy ... I'm not disagreeing with you but they were removed from the bikes in 2014.

Can you put up a picture please of the power valve (Exhaust valve) external area and a picture of your bike  .... Is there actually a valve inside

What colour are your exhaust cans? You might find that a previous owners liked the black cans and swapped out the silver ones.

Sounds like the previous owner has fitted the 2011 - 2013 black exhausts to your 2015 bike. The valve default position is open held there with a spring. The actuator and cables closed the valve until operating conditions demanded otherwise. Refitting them would gain you nothing on your bike, and besides, as KD said, the 2015 bike didn't have them fitted so there won't be a cable for you to connect the servo to and the ECU won't be programmed to facilitate it's use.

Thank you chaps.  That's all I need to know.
Bike runs great without them anyway.
Cheers 👍👍
