Thanks Chris for the preverbal kick up the arse.  :028:

I collected the Sealy Spring compression tools this morning from the Post Office. Just waiting for the K-Tech spring to be delivered today.

As you previously mentioned about the sharp edge of the compression hook protectors, I'll be running a round file over the edges , so hopefully won't mark the spring paint layer.

Well .. That was easy. In less than an hour the shock was out, spring replaced and shock back in. Rider Sag set.

I was at 45mm sag at fully wound in on the OE spring. I am now at 45mm at 8 clicks out. I also know I can get 40mm sag at 3 clicks out. Happy days. :028:

It’s not that bad a job really once you get into it is it what spring did you get Dave.

The springs been sat in my kitchen for the last 5 weeks waiting for me to fit it ... Just got back from riding the Tiger 1200 across Europe to Dubrovnik with Magellan Motorcycle Tours. 16 days .. (3518 miles front door to front door)

Just out of interest Dave what was the numbers on your spring was it a 195 or a 190.

was your spring Part # 5457-190-110,as it says upto 16 plate,rang k tech this morning and i'm still waiting for them to confirm this works on an 18 plate ?

Sooty .. If you go back to page 2 you'll see the picture of the spring and part number, but yes that is the spring 54 and 57 is the Internal diameter of the spring coil ends. the 190 is the length and the 110 is the newtons.

This is something I need to do as I am on 45mm sag fully wound in. Have you had a chance to ride it yet since you swapped springs.
