Titanium caliper pistons?
on: 26 Jan 19, 05:35:42
I've done some googling, but can't seem to find any info.

Are there titanium brake caliper pistons for the sx?

Titanium wipes clean, where steel or aluminium will pit/rust and hold dirt. I ride all year so it's a concern. I keep the bike well serviced but would like that extra helping hand.

Hmmm...my bike now has 52k+ on her and no rust in the areas your expressing concern for, so....may I ask again...why you want titanium  :027:

It's not a question of why i want them, it's that i asked if anyone knew of them. It's not an opportunity for you to argue against my question.

Have seen stainless steel ones, but not titanium.

Maybe Probolt...and there's no need to be like that about it. I wasn't being argumentative; I was just questioning based on my own experience  of riding ail year round :oh_no:

I guess the standard caliper pistons are coated stainless.  In have not had any problems with corrosion on them.
2017 Z1000SX, in black.  Roughly 70000 miles and 8 years on SXs.
