I use cruise control on my car through speed camera infested motorway roadworks so that I can concentrate my attention on the road ahead rather than my speedometer. It'd be equally useful on a bike in such circumstances

when you're on the quieter stretches of motorway it is relaxing just to take your hand off the throttle, relax your grip, allow you to maintain a fairly constant speed with out the usual wavering of speeds

if you don't like or find it an "obsession" then fair enough but as i'm on thing everyday its helpful just to have one extra device to assist

i don't understand obsession with six axis imu, tft screens and connectivity but if that makes you "safer" or more complete then fill yer boots

I don't understand the obsession with gear indicators.
2017 Z1000SX, in black.  Roughly 70000 miles and 8 years on SXs.

Toys...for want of a better word will always hop up the price...I brought my SX due to the value for money factor personally i have never had trac control, power modes, abs and one of the cleanest fitting panniers... :187: so guess I have got plenty of toys to play with...
If I had to be picky :451: I cannot understand why some sort of rad guard is not fitted as standard even plastic one offers something....I stand corrected but not even an option on the genuine parts list...

If you're doing a few hours on the motorway then being able to engage cruise control and give your wrist a break is a godsend.

For normal riding it's pointless but for longer stints I would love CC on the SX.

Ideally they would do what BMW did with a lot of their bikes and offer it as an option. It's certainly one I would tick.

I think they may replace the engine with 800CC supercharged unit.
Oh, I hope you are right. That would be a nice twist. Less cm³, more power and a lot of tourqe.
Yummy!  :820:
