Hello from Holland
« on: November 01, 2018, 06:13:06 PM »
Hello there,

Last week i took a z1000sx (may 2018) for a testride and.......im hooked.

Ive had my VFR 800 VTEC (2004) for 7 years now and it always served me well. Still it was time for a new toy. And while i narrowed it down to the new Suzuki gsx s1000f and the Z1000sx i quickly decided the Z was the bike i had to test first.

While i took a closer look i realised it was the only competitor because of the pillion. The few times my wife comes along it should at least be a bit comfy and fun.

Before i took her out for a spin (after removing the panniers) i still believed that because of it being heavier then my VFR the cornerning had to suffer.....the weight was something i had to notice right? Boy was i wrong.......

It really surpassed my VFR on every level. When i returned my wife noticed the huge grinn and she knew it was a done deal.

So i sold the VFR, cleanend out the garage and am awaiting delivery, which in such a case always takes way too long.

When it arrives first thing on the bucketlist is a tail-tidy. See if i can find some info here or a how to with panniers.

Cheers M

Apparently evotech tail tidy works with panniers, I've gone stock though as I ride all weathers and don't like a wet back or crack.

Enjoy!

The evotech works fine with panniers, and is pretty easy to fit.

I hope they have warm sticky roads in Heaven!

:401: Congratulations on imminent induction into the club. I have R@G tail tidy on mine and it works with the panniers. Also why anyone would even consider the Suzuki over the SX is beyond me  :112: The Suzuki looks like S#!T. :008:
