Horn Upgrade
« on: August 12, 2018, 07:38:51 AM »
I haven’t had my bike 3 weeks yet but have had to use the horn a number of times and it is shite. I have a Stebel Nautalus which I had fitted to a previous bike but can’t seem to find enough space to mount it.

So has anybody changed their horn on a 17/18 model and what have you used and where did you fit it?

Do you have the all in one stable or the remote reservoir stable?

It’s all in one.

Odley enough the only place I can thing od that may have enough room I'd the left hand front fairing or tucked down by the coolant reservoir (surprisingly it's rather protected in that area by the hugger, look at how clean your spring is)

I'll be installing a Denali air horn in the not too distant (had one on the previous bike, and it was great) - I'll be going for the split version and mounting it all inside the front fairing to the left or right of the forks. Loads of space there.

I bought one of these for my machine.   Obviously, its not as good as a full on air horn, but  a big improvement over stock.  Its cheap, and it fits right where our stock horn did.

I am leaning towards something like this or the Denali Soundblaster Mini as it is a straight swap so easier and neater than hiding more wires and pipes.

+1 for sports bike shop, ordered many things from them always had fantastic service and fat delivery (even when I had a jacket that had 3 separate warranty issues which they replaced for another one without arguing)
